The best routers for PCVR
Router guidance for a reliable wireless PCVR connection.
For wireless PCVR on Quest, I recommend Virtual Desktop. With the correct network setup, it can deliver excellent image quality and lower latency than Quest Link. Just always use a wired Ethernet connection from the PC to the dedicated router or access point, and keep the router on the least congested channel.
These are routers officially recommended by the Virtual Desktop team. A dedicated router for the headset is usually the most predictable setup.

Important compatibility warning
The Virtual Desktop team has warned that TP-Link AX (not AXE), Huawei and Tenda routers have been known to have unidentified problems. Higher-end TP-Link AX/AXE models not listed here may work well, but any router not on this list should be treated as untested. The TP-Link Archer AXE5400 is not the same product as the Deco AXE5400.
It doesn’t mean that these routers for sure will make problems for everybody. It also doesn’t matter that only the routers from the table are okay. You are free to experiment on yourself, the only question is why would you if we know which routers just work and they are in every price point, even very cheap.
